New York Fashion Week Presentation

After a rigorous application process, I was granted the opportunity to present an original design based on a University of Arizona building to a panel of judges. The whole concept of my design is to foster community and bring students together through fashion. I designed a hoodie and a series of patches to represent each and every student at the University. After presenting, I was fortunate enough to win the competition and go to New York Fashion Week in Fall 2024!

I drew my inspiration from the purpose of the building rather than the architecture. I wanted to design a piece that fostered community and showcased the unique qualities of each and every student!
My target consumer was the "average" university student. However, there is so much variety within the group of college students, this was the whole point of my design. My design was for every student.

This is an example of what my hoodie would look like. I have fashion and marketing patches for my majors, a 2026 patch for my graduation year, a polish patch for my heritage, and a patch to represent my participation in the Norton Ambassadors!
We also had to create a marketing plan to sell our product. These were some of ways I planned to advertise my design!
